Call or write your Senators to urge them to vote NO to the Energy
and Natural Resources Act of 2017 (S.1460) being pushed by Trump and Senate Majority Leader
Mitch McConnell. Notwithstanding claims that it is “bipartisan” – Maria Cantwell (D-WA) has co-
sponsored the bill introduced by Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) – the Act promotes fracking and methane
hydrates, expands the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s authority to approve pipelines,
and fails to even mention solar or wind power. Over 350 organizations, including the League of
Women Voters, Food & Water Watch, CREDO, and Working Families Party, have signed a letter
to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer urging him to oppose this dirty energy bill.
